Why the crazy hair??

Good morning from the North Pole! Brrr!! Really wishing we had a fenced in yard today, the only reason I will have to go out is if the dog has to potty. The actual temperature right now is -4! With the wind chill if feels like -25! The most crazy part? It will hit nearly 60 over the weekend!
Today is an e-learning day for school, with the cold temps they went ahead and called off school. So my son has decided that we will play school! His teacher sent home papers to be done instead of online things. (the 1st grade e-learning is rather simple and not lesson specific. Just math and reading.) Right now he's having his "school breakfast" he made up the menu himself. "S'mores pop-tart, popcorn, a nutri-grain bar and some hot chocolate with marshmallows" Super healthy, I know. I have a "tray" (shoe box lid) on my computer desk for him to turn in his assignments, and his desk is the bed. I'm letting my daughter have a little more sleep time before waking her for her school work. (Teenagers are really grizzly bears!!) Hers is all online, she won't play pretend with me anymore :( Haha! Boy do I miss it though! Being a momma is tough, but most of the time, it's fun!
We made our fort yesterday, and watched our Gilligan! My daughter didn't participate in the fort part, but she watched with us and we all played Uno. (Which actually didn't end too well!) Ahh...Uno...tearing families apart for ages. Bahaha! Whoever invented Uno and Sorry! are probably the kinds of people who start wars! They are both great and fun games, until some one Sorry!'s you or lays down that draw 4! My son insisted I sleep on the floor in the fort with him last night, so I did. But man am I feeling my age this morning! Whoo! My back is killing me!
Such a gloomy cold day, seems like a perfect day for a Harry Potter marathon! This is a small portion of the nerd part of me I told you about. I'm a bit obsessed, I love when people see me wearing one of my HP shirts or my jacket and they are all "Oh, you like Harry Potter? Cool." Then I roll up my sleeve and show them The Deathly Hallows tattoo on my arm and they're like "Oh! Wow, you DO like Harry Potter!" Bahaha! Yep, I'm that blue haired (Hufflepuff), Harry Potter (among other fandoms) loving book nerd.
My blue hair started as purple. My dad's favorite color was purple. When he died, my hair was a rather dark color. So, the day before his funeral, I went and got "peek-a-boo highlights" done. (The bottom layer of my hair was pink and purple, alternating), because pink is MY favorite color. Eventually, I decided to go back to blonde, (I have literally had my hair every possible color during my life) and when I did, I wanted to keep doing the pink and purple. Gradually I the purple became more dominate until finally I just went for it (all purple)! Then recently I switched hair color brands and it keeps turning blue on me (Haha!). So, I switched to blue, but I will go back to purple, I'm certain. At dad's funeral we refused to wear black, my dad was too colorful of a person for that! I had a bright color dress (and had my hair) and my daughter wore purple (we also put dad in a purple tie), she called it #purpleforpapaw
Well, I guess that's all I have today, we are all sleepy and lazy from the weather! Ready to start this HP marathon! Stay weird, friends!
