Good Morning! It's been over a week since I've written...ahh! Maybe I need to make this a weekly blog, because I'm too forgetful for daily! HAHA!

So this is spirit week at school for my son, right? (one of the MANY throughout the year!) As mom, it's my job to dress my kid as a....pirate, superhero, Hawaiian, cowboy, tacky tourist, sports fan...etc. It's maddening and fun all at the same time...because I don't know about y'all, but I just don't have random pirate clothes hanging around in the closet! So I have a teacher friend who always keeps me up to date on the dress up days and she gave me the run down for the week. So, in order, we have...pajama day (easy peasy), tie dye (again, easy), black suit and tie (had to go find a black shirt), superhero (had a cape, but found a Batman shirt WITH a cape!), and finally twin day (dress the same as a friend). Okay...tomorrow...super hero day...ALSO...Spring picture day?! Someone was NOT paying attention when they made up the spirit days! I DO NOT want a picture of BATMAN hanging on my wall!! Our schools take two school pictures in the school year. The normal yearbook pictures and then the spring ones. They are full body pictures, they are so good! So, no...I do NOT want my kid dressed like Batman for them. Needless to say, I'm going to have to make him wear a shirt over the superhero one until the picture is taken.

If I end up with something like THIS I will just die!! Bahaha!

Yesterday was another Goodwill adventure day! I went in search of the black shirt for today. I got him a black shirt, 2 Hawaiian shirts, a Batman shirt, football jersey and a book. I also got ME a freaking AWESOME Christmas sweater, a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, a porcelain Christmas train, 4 books, the game Sorry!, and a cinch bag for my daughter. So I went a little overboard...so what...I needed it ALL! I'm also SUPER EXCITED because I just ordered a Christmas decoration from Ebay that we had when I was a kid and have wanted SO BAD as an adult!! Hey...I LOVE Christmas...sue me...Bahaha!! It's a Looney Tunes "Brass Band" set from 1995! I am so freaking excited...I'm totally and adult here...hmm.. But on the adulting side, I did do a grown up thing yesterday. I made some homemade bread! I watch a lot of The Great British Baking Show (AWESOME show!!) and I've been wanting to try bread for a while now. Although it's a fairly adult type task, I sounded and looked like a little kid the entire time, I'm sure!

So first I mix the yeast and the water and instantly think "Holy crap! THIS is in bread?! Bread, that smells and tastes SO GOOD?" Yeast STINKS, y'all! Haha! Anyway, I mix everything else in and leave it to "prove" (I'm a professional TGBBS watcher, so I don't say "rise") and when it doubled I was jumping and cheering! Woo-hoo! Then I cut the dough in half to make 2 loaves and was like "You know what? I'm going to plait one of them!" (Once again..Great British Baking Show, I don't say "braid" BAHAHA!) Second prove...yes! In the oven and they baked so well! Then the taste test...oh. my. gosh. I'm definitely going to start baking bread. YUMMY!! But when I looked around the kitchen, it looked like a bag of flour exploded! The table, floor, counters and ME...flour everywhere! But, delicious homemade bread? Totally worth it!

I had to throw in the picture of me in my FABULOUS Christmas sweater, too!

I can tell already that Tuesdays are going to start getting crazy for me! My daughter now has softball practice Monday-Thursday and my son has Cub Scouts on Tuesdays. They start 15 minutes apart! Ahh!! So drop one off, race to get the other, race back to pick one up, then go get the other. It's all good though...I love seeing them do things that they love! We have the Pinewood Derby coming up in scouts, we will be carving, painting, decorating and building a little wooden car to race! We just made a bird house out of a milk jug this week, too! And it won't be long until I'm sitting in the stands at my daughter's very first middle school softball game!! She's working so hard in practices and I am so proud of her. She leaves dirty, sore and tired, but happy.

Well, I think it's that time...time to get off of this computer and do some work...or read...yeah...read sounds more fun...haha! Have a great day, y'all! Stay weird!
