Spring forward...yuck! Losing that one hour has shook my whole life up! Haha! Sunday was fine, got up, went to church, visited my mom. Then Monday rolled around, the alarm for school went off and I seriously considered letting them just stay home because I did NOT wanna drag my butt out of that bed! Perks of being a stay-at-home mom? I went back to bed after I put them on the bus! Bahaha! Tuesday? A little better...still went back to bed after the kids left for school. But didn't sleep as long! Anybody else struggling to stay awake this week??

Once I finally got moving yesterday, I got a lot done though. I woke up and took advantage of the warmer weather... (yeah...upper 40s is warmer weather right now) and I went for a walk. Felt good to go out and walk again! I'm hoping springtime is finally on the way so I can go everyday again! I'm trying to slim this waist line down some before this summer comes! I walked 3.35 miles with the dog yesterday and then came home and cleaned the house. The dog....laid down and fell asleep.

So, over the weekend we worked on my sons car for the Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts! Anyone who knows him, knows that this kid LOVES trains! And I'm not just talking about the "Ooh! Choo Choo!" kind of thing. This boy watches videos from like the 1930s about trains. He knows about the parts, what makes a steam engine work, engine types and names, US and some UK. He knows railways and famous engineers. There is a man in our town who worked for the railway, as well as his father and grandfather. This 80 something year old man and my 7 year old son have formed a friendship through trains. He sets up model displays every year at our Christmas train show, and currently he has a display set up at our library. We have been there every weekend watching him set up the different engines on the track. The two of them sit and talk about engines and the mechanics of it all. He loves it. So, it was no surprise when he told me he wanted his derby car in the shape of a train! So, his dad did the cutting and super gluing the funnel etc. Then he painted it, and we put the wheels on. The derby is this Saturday, so wish him luck, y'all!

This weekend we also had to deal with a softball injury! UGH! My daughter has already sprained her ankle and the season hasn't even officially started yet! It started feeling a little better yesterday, but it is still sore. Hopefully we can get her to 100% soon! She is so excited for the season to start, and we all cannot wait to go watch her play!!

Stayed up and finished my book last night, A World Without You by Beth Revis. So good!! I also started a new book, Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller. I've heard good things about it, too. So I can't wait to dive into this one! But for now, I'm going to try and get my booty in gear and get ready for my walk! Stay weird, y'all!

I finally remembered my password. The time change I love. BecUse I don’t have to drive to work in the dark. And finally own a vehicle where changing the time isn’t hard. I’m just not motivated because if this damn weather but we are Lready warming back up.
