My First Entry!

So, my first ever blog entry. This will probably not even have a specific topic. I'll just give you the general idea about the kinds of things I will post. So, as I said in the 'about me' portion of this site, I AM A NERD! Haha! So a lot of what I post may be about books or fandoms, so be prepared! The reason people seem to think I'm an adult is because of the number of my age (34), but I'm telling you...I'm just a big kid. Think I'm too old for all things Disney and Harry Potter? Too bad, 'cause this chick ain't changing anytime soon! I read. Like, a lot. And I don't just read them, I climb inside the wonderful books I read and make myself at home in their worlds. So don't be surprised if I get on here and start talking about a book and the characters as if they are real. (Because I do that often!) My son loves to read as well, but he's only 7, so I can't really discuss my books with him very well. My husband and daughter don't really read that much, but they've gotten used to my obsession with fictional people. (I think...haha)
I was born in the 80s and raised in the 90s, but in 2019, I STILL live in the 90s. My kids watch a lot of 90s TV shows and movies and it's so awesome that they love the things I grew up with! If you've been shopping anywhere these days, you will notice that (for some strange reason) fashion trends from the 90s are coming back! My daughter, who is 13, is starting to dress like I did at her age! Striped shirts, flannels, crazy patterns, scrunchies and high waist jeans. Gee, if I'd have known my child would one day dress like me in the future, I would have saved all my clothes (and a lot of money)!
My kids is another topic I'm sure to talk about in these blogs. I have one angel baby in Heaven and two here with me. My daughter is 13 and my son is 7. They are crazy, funny, strong, caring and kind. Being a stay-at-home mom is rough sometimes, but even when they are making me want to rip my hair out, I know that there is no better job on Earth. They make me proud every day. I've brought them up teaching them faith and family are the most important things in life. Put God first and always stand by your family. I teach them that we will all stumble and fall and that's okay, but through Jesus we are redeemed, and THAT'S amazing!
So, books, family, movies, TV or just me blabbing random things that are on my mind on any certain day. That's what to expect here. I'm actually hoping that the people I know DON'T read this...I've wanted to do this for a while, but I feel like it's kinda silly for me. I'm not super interesting or anything, I just thought it would be cool to put this out there to maybe talk books or whatever with people. I've met a couple of fellow book nerds on Instagram and it's fun to talk nerd with people who totally get it, haha. So, until next time...stay weird!

Aww..thanks! :) I enjoy reading yours too! The parking garage post had me giggling a little, because it sounded like something that would happen to me too lol
For not “knowing” what you are doing it. You sure the hell slayed this. I can totally relate. I’m 43 but in my mind I’m still young. I have more fictional friends than real friends. And have traveled to more places by books than by airplane! I know you through IG but I think your blog will let me get to know the real you. And not just the person with the cool hair colors and same great taste in books! And I can’t wait! Yea for your 1st post!
