Well, here we are...Monday morning. People may think that us Stay-at-home Moms don't feel the Monday blues like all them workin' folks, but THEY ARE WRONG! Know why? Because you CANNOT...I repeat...CANNOT...keep a house clean with all those people in the house over the weekend! (Or maybe YOU can and I'm just a slacker...I don't know! Haha!) For me anyway, it's just pointless! Someone is constantly eating something, or getting something out or just getting in my freakin' way! Bahaha! So I just do little things, like pick up objects that may or may not kill me on the floor (legos, trains, dog bones) or at least kick 'em aside so I don't die. Then Monday rolls around and I look at this house and think "Ugh...what have you people done?!" I can't tell you how many times since becoming a parent I have wished for Mary Poppin's cleaning skills!! And now here I am, on my second cup of coffee, typing a blog and putting off the inevitable. It's all good, I've got til at least 3:30 to finish my work...then again...if I rush it, I may be able to read all day while they are gone! Hmmm....decisions decisions...
Saturday was a total binge watching day. I watched about 12 episodes of Grey's Anatomy! I was so emotionally drained, but it was totally worth it! I LOVE that show! I'm only on season 9 though, so no spoilers if you're caught up, or ahead of me! My husband sat and watched with me, which would be cool if he were and avid G.A. watcher...he's not. So here I sitting tears flowing and he's all "So, who's that guy again?" ..."Oh my gosh...that's Derek, Meredith's husband!" ..."Which one is Meredith?" ...Are you kidding me right now? Isn't there some football or basketball game you could be watching? BAHAHAHA! My brother got me into Grey's Anatomy, so every time someone dies or something big happens, I'll message him. "-------- died??!!" He's like "Oh, yeah...that's a thing that happens." Whaa?? Don't be so nonchalant, sir! I'm bawling here!! So anyway, I slept pretty good that night.
Sunday morning was church, and then *shivers* Wal-Mart...with THREE kids. It's like herding puppies...squirrel! We need to go look for....toys!....no, we need to look for...clothes!...no...we're just here for...Laptops! Phones! Movies! No, no no! I like to browse too...don't get me wrong...but I'm a browse and move on person. I go to look at movies and turn around and they are playing on phones and tablets, etc. I'm like okay, I'm done looking here. My daughter is like "Oh my gosh...you keep just moving around everywhere." And my son's like "Hold on a second, mom, I gotta beat this level on Mario!" What? No you don't, this isn't even your game. It's not gonna be where you left off the next time we come. Let's go, dude! My daughter's like "He got something for $20, mine was only $7...so can I get a snack?" my son... "I want a snack, too!" Ummm...I'm sure it's not a competition...and if it were it would be 'Who can spend the LEAST amount of money?!"
Back home and ready for Rent Live! on Fox! Now, we don't have cable. We have Netflix, Hulu, and an antenna for local channels. So, 8:00 rolls around and I turn the TV to watch and..the living room TV doesn't pick the channel up. Bedroom TV...yep, score! But while I'm trying to make it come in in the living room, I've missed like the first 8 minutes! So we all get settled in to watch and it keeps freezing and pixelating...seriously...I just wanna watch this musical, man. After about a half hour of this happening and me continuously going up to readjust the antenna wire, I realize, it's not plugged in. (Which boosts the signal....) Boom! fixed! It was a pretty good show! But my favorite part was, of course, the end. When the original cast came out for the Finale! SO GREAT!!
Which brings us to the present....me....procrastinating. You'd think all this caffeine would have had an affect on me by now...yawn... Nope. Gonna have to put my big girl pants on and push through. Worst thing on the agenda today? Folding all of the (3 loads) of laundry. I'm really good with the keeping up with the washing and drying part...it's the folding, hanging and putting away part that always gets me! We all probably look like we are homeless because our clothes are so wrinkled. "I swear, my kids' clothes are clean, school!" And I can't let anyone do it for me because they won't do it right! (wrinkled clothes are better that incorrectly folded ones. Makes sense, right??) I'm a hot mess. I'm like that with just about everything here...that's why the kids' chores are all things they pretty much can't do wrong. HAHA! I'm walking around here like "Why did you put that pillow there?! Don't you know by now that it goes on the OTHER side of the couch?! COME ON!!" "Why is this in this cabinet?! it goes with the spices?! Work with me here, people!" I'm NOT the crazy one in this scenario, right? Well, folks, I guess I'd better hop to it. Gotta go see what has been misplaced and what kind of havoc has been done to the order of things! Thanks to all who have been reading. I hope you've been entertained! As always, stay weird, friends!
