Another e-learning day today and my whole schedule is going crazy!! We've all got cabin fever and if they don't go back to school tomorrow we may start sending up smoke signals! I finally took the fort down today and we got the house back to what can pass for normal around here. But there have been some bumps along the way. My son took 3 hours to put a few toys away, my daughter spilled the vacuum cleaner contents all over the kitchen rug, and I hit my funny bone so hard on the corner of a wall I thought I would cry!! Like seriously, it STILL hurts!! In addition to the four humans in the house we also have two animals. A dog and cat. Dixon (dog) is a black lab mix and Oliver is an American Curl. Oliver is the boss of the house. He was loving the fort we made and I got the look of death from him when I took down the last blanket. I haven't turned my back on him since. Dixon keeps barking to go outside, but when we get out there, he just wants to eat the snow, not potty. So, cleaning ended up taking about 4 hours instead of the normal hour to hour and a half, and I still haven't folded the laundry. The bright side of all this? We are having tacos for dinner tonight!!
Go figure, I decide to start a blog, then we get shut up in the house for days on end and nothing interesting happens, haha! We are all grouchy and ready for some space...the kids are all "Why are you breathing near me?" (not really that bad, yet.) I was forced to sleep on the floor of the fort again last night, so I'm pretty sure I won't be able to walk tomorrow. But sounds like a good excuse to sit and read a book all day to me! I haven't been able to get very far into "The Traitor Prince" yet, but at 60 pages in, it's already so good! It's the 3rd book in C.J. Redwine's Ravenspire series. My TBR list is SO long and there are a lot of new (to me) books that I'm dying to read, but I have to keep fighting the urge to re-read a couple of my favorite series!! At the beginning of the month I finished The Premonition series by Amy A. Bartol. If you haven't read them, you totally should! I'm really wanting to read them again already!
I have been a book nerd since I was a kid. Once, in the 4th grade, I was reading a book in class and our teacher passed out a spelling test. I was oblivious to the world (as I still get now when reading) and the next thing I knew I heard "Okay, pass your papers forward." I was jolted back to reality and realized I'd missed the entire test! She wouldn't let me retake it either. Oops! If I didn't set aside time for reading, I think I would go insane! We all need an escape from reality every now and then, and mine is books. I read a lot of fantasy books and paranormal romance. One of the things I love about instagram is that the authors of these amazing books I read actively interact with their readers! It's awesome to be able to tell a writer how much a book or character meant to them and know that they saw and responded to what you said.

So, I guess I'll finish up all that needs to be done today, and jump right into another world! So until tomorrow, stay weird!
